Merry Christmas 2009

As usual, we went to the midnight Christmas Mass at St. Gabriel. This time KC and KC went with us. The choir was beautiful, it was the regular Sunday morning choir group, with the piano, violin, and guitar. We went home after mass and opened some presents. It was a wonderful midnight!

Trip to Algonquin Park

AJ and I went to Algonquin Park on Oct 1. Yeah yeah, I know, that was weeks ago…total slacker.
Never trust the weatherman…we booked our days off in advance since the weather was supposedly be good. Unfortunately it was cloudy and rainy all day long.

Surprisingly some pictures turn out nice. The raw picture was dark grayish, I was about to scrap it away. Curiously, I slide some buttons to brighten it, and suddenly got this beautiful picture:

And this is, I think, my next best shot, and also my favorite:

Pink Rose and Twilight

I’m currently reading Stephanie Meyer’s Twilight series, Eclipse. I cannot wait to read #4, Breaking Dawn. While it’s not the best books series I’ve read, they’re really light and easy to read in a good way - about love and all that cheesy stuffs. Yeah, I love romance, sigh.

In a totally unrelated subject, I love pink rose:
Pink Rose

This beautiful song Falling Slowly that somehow makes me think of the main characters in Twilight series.

I don’t know you but I want you
All the more for that
Words fall through me and always fool me
And I can’t react

And games that never amount
To more than they’re meant
Will play themselves out

Take this sinking boat and point it home
We’ve still got time
Raise your hopeful voice, you have a choice
You’ll make it now

Falling slowly, eyes that know me
And I can’t go back
The moods that take me and erase me
And I’m painted black

You have suffered enough
And warred with yourself
It’s time that you won

Take this sinking boat and point it home
We’ve still got time
Raise your hopeful voice, you have a choice
You’ve made it now

Falling slowly sing your melody
I’ll sing along

Roses are Red

Last month I was experimenting with taking flower pictures (from my Dad’s backyard) using a black background. I love it.

It was upon a summer’s shiny day,

When Titan fair his beams did display,

In a fresh fountain, far from all men’s view,

She bathed her breast, the boiling heat to allay;

She bathed with roses red, and violets blue,

And all the sweetest flowers, that in the forest grew.

Celebrate

I thought I should post something before the end of today, as I celebrate my 27th birthday. We had dinner at Maison du Japon, an all-you-can-eat Japanese place, together with AJ, my dad and sister, M, Om P and Tante G.

AJ got me a new Nokia n79, since my old cellphone died a long while ago. I’m very excited with this new one, and hopefully I’ll remember to bring this everyday… I’m famous for forgetting my phone at home or not answering calls.
