Pink Rose and Twilight

Thursday, August 13th, 2009

I’m currently reading Stephanie Meyer’s Twilight series, Eclipse. I cannot wait to read #4, Breaking Dawn. While it’s not the best books series I’ve read, they’re really light and easy to read in a good way - about love and all that cheesy stuffs. Yeah, I love romance, sigh.

In a totally unrelated subject, I love pink rose:

This beautiful song Falling Slowly that somehow makes me think of the main characters in Twilight series.

I don’t know you but I want you
All the more for that
Words fall through me and always fool me
And I can’t react

And games that never amount
To more than they’re meant
Will play themselves out

Take this sinking boat and point it home
We’ve still got time
Raise your hopeful voice, you have a choice
You’ll make it now

Falling slowly, eyes that know me
And I can’t go back
The moods that take me and erase me
And I’m painted black

You have suffered enough
And warred with yourself
It’s time that you won

Take this sinking boat and point it home
We’ve still got time
Raise your hopeful voice, you have a choice
You’ve made it now

Falling slowly sing your melody
I’ll sing along

Celebrate

Sunday, June 7th, 2009

I thought I should post something before the end of today, as I celebrate my 27th birthday. We had dinner at Maison du Japon, an all-you-can-eat Japanese place, together with AJ, my dad and sister, M, Om P and Tante G.

AJ got me a new Nokia n79, since my old cellphone died a long while ago. I’m very excited with this new one, and hopefully I’ll remember to bring this everyday… I’m famous for forgetting my phone at home or not answering calls.

Backyard Garden

Monday, June 1st, 2009

Spring is here! As usual, it’s been a few months since my last post. We have a very enjoyable spring so far.

Our friend D & E got married on Mother’s Day, May 10. Here’s our runaway bride:

On the other note, My dad started gardening at his backyard last year. The flowers are beautiful. My favorite colour of a tall bearded Iris from the garden:

Oh, and I love the new Star Trek movie! We watched it a few weeks ago. We’ve also watched Angels and Demon. Definitely need to re-read the book.

My first post!

Did you know? It took me 2 years and more to create this first ‘official‘ post. Sometime ago I installed textpattern. I did finish the design, but got bored and abandon my project. A few weeks ago, trying to scrap -or to save- the site, I installed WordPress.

It’s somewhat difficult to decide between textpattern or WordPress. I already spent a lot of time customizing textpattern and I liked it. It’s a great open source CMS. However, Flickr does not support textpattern. I decided to use WordPress, and I’m liking it. :-)
